Big Bin Event – May 27 & 28, 2017

The annual Big Bin Event will be held in Kensington on the weekend of May 27 and 28, 2017 in Kensington.

Any resident with a valid Community League membership is welcome to use the bins. Please bring your membership cards with you. Memberships will be available for sale at the event for $20. Considering that a trip to the Edmonton Waste Management Centre would cost a minimum of $20 (per trip) your membership is a great value.

Please remember the bins are primarily for the disposal of items that are too large for regular garbage pick up. The plan is to have a bin for regular waste and one for electronic/metal (scrap). There will be volunteers on hand to assist you with unloading and sorting.

Safety First

Please ensure you work safely at the Big Bin site – bring gloves, proper footwear and keep children safe and away from the bin site. If you need a hand unloading, one of the volunteers will be more than happy to help. As the street can get crowded, please watch for pets, children, vehicles, etc.

As always, we cannot accept any hazardous goods at the Big Bin event. Paints, propane tanks, chemicals, etc., must be disposed of at Eco Stations.
